We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary principal to lead our prestigious language center located in Hanoi, Vietnam. As the principal, you will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the language center, guided by our mission, vision, and core values. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of its operations, setting the vision and mission, developing policies, managing budgets, and making strategic decisions.

 

Reports to:

The principal will work in close collaboration with a Vietnamese principal, fostering a strong partnership that combines local expertise with international educational perspectives. As a key member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the American CEOs, ensuring effective communication and alignment with the organization’s overarching goals and strategies. This collaborative structure allows for a dynamic exchange of ideas, diverse insights, and a harmonious integration of both global and local perspectives, ultimately enhancing the quality and impact of our language center.

 

Responsibilities

 
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and articulate a clear vision and mission for the language center, “Building confidence and critical thinking skills through innovative language instruction,” and align it with the goals and objectives of the organization.

Create and implement strategic plans to achieve the center’s objectives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to language instruction and a dedication to student growth and development.

Embrace innovation by exploring and implementing new ideas and teaching methods to improve student outcomes and enhance the overall learning experience. Operations Management:

Provide overall leadership and management to the language center, ensuring that excellence in education is at the forefront of all activities.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines that reflect our core values, including a student-centered approach that meets the individual needs and goals of each student.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, conducting regular evaluations and embracing flexibility to adapt to changing needs while maintaining the highest quality instruction and learning experience.

 

Financial Management:

Prepare and manage the center’s annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability while allocating resources in alignment with our strategic priorities.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, making informed decisions to optimize revenue generation and cost management, always demonstrating integrity and ethical behavior in financial matters.

Staff Management and Development:

Recruit, hire, and train qualified academic and administrative staff who embody our core values and share our commitment to excellence in education.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values teamwork and encourages creativity, curiosity, and self-expression in both students and staff.

Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver a student-centered and innovative learning experience.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, local communities, and educational partners, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.

Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for the diversity of cultures represented in the student body, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment.

Represent the center in external forums, conferences, and events, upholding our reputation for excellence in education and showcasing our commitment to student growth and development.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in an educational or language center setting.

A strong background in English language teaching and learning, with knowledge of best practices and methodologies.

Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading teams and achieving organizational goals.

Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a proven ability to set priorities, develop plans, and implement strategies that align with our mission, vision, and core values.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, embracing cultural sensitivity.

Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with an understanding of the Vietnamese education system and cultural context.

Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in Vietnamese is not required.

 

Preferences:

Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and financial analysis.
